Hi, I’m Nic Manshon. Creativity, for me, started back when I was drawing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and entering Mother’s Day competitions for KTV. I always loved art as a kid and did it as a subject throughout my schooling career.  If I were to be totally honest, I never saw a career in creativity in high school, even though art was my highest marked subject.  Hence, I went to study personal training straight after high school and thereafter worked for Virgin Active for a while. Soon enough I realized that it wasn’t for me. Nonetheless, I believe nothing is lost with learning. After having these feelings to change my career, I started exploring creativity again. That was a good choice! The journey started out at CPUT, studying industrial design and serving at a local church, heading up the media department. After that, I got a scholarship for digital filmmaking at SAE. I never received a scholarship before so I was super stoked to do the course, not rea

In the past, I'd always get stuck if someone asked me to describe myself because there were just so many things I’d want to say. That was until a friend of mine told me that I have a colourful personality and made my life so much easier :)

I'm Yemurai Muchenje, better known as “Yam”, “Yem” or “Yummy”, for the special ones ;) I'm 19 going on 20 and am currently in my 3rd year as a medical student at Stellenbosch University.

Aside from working towards becoming a doctor, I've begun to spend more time pursuing my other passions and interests with radio being one of them. In the past, I would feel guilty if I thought of venturing into anything else that would divert my attention from med school. However, the older I get and the more life experiences I go through, the more I realize that it's PERFECTLY FINE to be a multifaceted young woman and have my fingers in many different pies.

I'm an extroverted introvert who loves adventures; spontaneous drives to who knows where; but can also spend a week holed up in her room (because alone time is also great, right?). I value open-minded, honest, and genuine individuals because that's where my life’s principles stem from. I'm also always ready for any opportunity that comes my way because in order to grow, one has got to tackle the challenges head on.

In short, I'm like a Matryoshka doll with each doll representing my different experiences, stories and relationships. With that being said, I haven't always been this confident with a zest for life. I too, like many other people, was afraid but once you take a leap of faith, follow your dreams and focus on being you, you'll never look back. Although I am yet to figure out what life has in store for me (with mistakes along the way), I know that I have a lot to offer and am ready to make my mark!

To my cheerleaders, thank you.
