Hi, I’m Nic Manshon.
Creativity, for me, started back when I was drawing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and entering Mother’s Day competitions for KTV. I always loved art as a kid and did it as a subject throughout my schooling career.
If I were to be totally honest, I never saw a career in creativity in high school, even though art was my highest marked subject.
Hence, I went to study personal training straight after high school and thereafter worked for Virgin Active for a while. Soon enough I realized that it wasn’t for me. Nonetheless, I believe nothing is lost with learning.
After having these feelings to change my career, I started exploring creativity again. That was a good choice!
The journey started out at CPUT, studying industrial design and serving at a local church, heading up the media department. After that, I got a scholarship for digital filmmaking at SAE. I never received a scholarship before so I was super stoked to do the course, not realizing what the future may hold.

It's quite amazing to look back and see all the accomplishments, how I've come from a small town of PE (even smaller - Bluewater Bay!) and I just used to watch TV and cry. Literally, cry. All I wanted to do was be on camera, to now having performed on so many stages, to so many audiences theatre wise and film wise, to have walked ramps in New York City to take center stage at the Johannesburg Theatre. I hope to get this particular industry a little more going in our country, there need to be more jobs available for artists, this issue is something I'm extremely passionate about because I do remember having just a dream however, no work available - I created my opportunities on my own, with the help of God.

Right now, I'm just focusing on my personal brand and how I can further my career and study further within the business realm. I completed a few films last year with my acting, did amazing modelling campaigns and created my own Cosmetics company which has been doing really well. I am in the process of expanding into the shoe industry with my name, Jade Taylor, as well as being a skin brand ambassador. This year however, I am to do a lot more charity work, it seems as if giving back is my hearts calling and I will make it my mission to do so. I just want to end off by giving others a little bit of hope, telling whoever is reading this that anything really is possible, if you continue to work at whatever it is you do, success can never fail. As my favourite character, Dory will say "Just keep swimming!"
