Hi, I’m Nic Manshon. Creativity, for me, started back when I was drawing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and entering Mother’s Day competitions for KTV. I always loved art as a kid and did it as a subject throughout my schooling career.  If I were to be totally honest, I never saw a career in creativity in high school, even though art was my highest marked subject.  Hence, I went to study personal training straight after high school and thereafter worked for Virgin Active for a while. Soon enough I realized that it wasn’t for me. Nonetheless, I believe nothing is lost with learning. After having these feelings to change my career, I started exploring creativity again. That was a good choice! The journey started out at CPUT, studying industrial design and serving at a local church, heading up the media department. After that, I got a scholarship for digital filmmaking at SAE. I never received a scholarship before so I was super stoked to do the course, not rea

As a regular teenager attending Hoërskool Waterkloof in the east of Pretoria every day is different with different troubles and Ed Sheeran songs to get you through them. I am an aspiring dancer, singer, actress and choreographer. As a young artist I have learnt that rock bottom has built more heroes than privilege.

I love to strut my stuff on stage with training such as ballet, modern, jazz, contemporary, tap, african and hip-hop. Not only do I love the stage but I also have a huge passion for television and working behind the scenes.

In 2012 I visited the United States where I was a performer at the Gaylord Palms and AMTC convention. In 2013 I was part of the team that won the HIP-HOP world championships in Denmark, Copenhagen for the production Memories of a Friend. I have been lucky to be part of several music videos such as Juanita du Plessis’ Hambamba, LiiLa’s Losdans and Armand Joubert’s Drome Word Waar. I am also to be seen as a featured dancer in the Johnsons Workwear Corporate video and ad campaign. I was also invited to the American Academy of Ballet on a bursary in the year 2015 where I attended a summer intensive as a ballet student under the famous American Ballet. I earned a high distinction for my Advanced 2 Royal Academy of Dance ballet exam which enabled me to enter Solo Seal, the highest ranking and exam there is in classical ballet. I was cast in several Broadway shows such as 96 000, Follicle the Musical and Swing Swing Swing.
I recently completed the shooting of a short film called Sangoma Sindroom where I play the role of Carli which will be releasing soon.

Performing as an opening act for Majozi was one of the highlights of 2017 so far. In my downtime I like to go out with my friends (Industrial Coffee Works is the place to be.) and to spend some quality time with family or treating myself at Effects Hair and Make up Studio where I am currently an ambassador. I hope to be a positive role model one day with a watch and sneaker collection and with hard work and determination anything is possible if you set your mind to it. Never give up.
