Hi, I’m Nic Manshon.
Creativity, for me, started back when I was drawing Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and entering Mother’s Day competitions for KTV. I always loved art as a kid and did it as a subject throughout my schooling career.
If I were to be totally honest, I never saw a career in creativity in high school, even though art was my highest marked subject.
Hence, I went to study personal training straight after high school and thereafter worked for Virgin Active for a while. Soon enough I realized that it wasn’t for me. Nonetheless, I believe nothing is lost with learning.
After having these feelings to change my career, I started exploring creativity again. That was a good choice!
The journey started out at CPUT, studying industrial design and serving at a local church, heading up the media department. After that, I got a scholarship for digital filmmaking at SAE. I never received a scholarship before so I was super stoked to do the course, not realizing what the future may hold.

It's unbelievable how each year of my life was perfectly planned out and now fresh out of high school, I'm not sure where my career path lays. Although I aspire to be a top model I believe that my journey serves a better purpose and not just living for myself but also to inspire others.

Although I've always known I've wanted to be a model since I was a little girl, I dreamt about being able to walk couture clothing on a runway, and take pretty pictures. As fun as it looks, it's a lot of work to create those pretty pictures that seem so effortless.

Hard work and patience goes into becoming a successful model, and I am definitely working my hardest to get there and will continue to. I have a huge passion for modelling and I love being in front of the camera. I mainly shoot streetwear, as well as swimwear but I also enjoy creative projects like body paint or dress up. I am currently modelling for TMA management agency and work with individual photographers but my main photographer is Katlego also known as @kg_dynamic.

A massive thank you to him for working with me and helping me create magic.

God, he has blessed me in ways I can not imagine. I would never be where I am today if it wasn't for him, I am extremely thankful. It is safe to say 'When Jesus says yes nobody can say no'. Although I am unsure of my future I am also very excited to see what God has in-store for me.

And my family, best friend and boyfriend have all been so supportive in my journey thus far whether it's been taking me to shoots and castings, coming to watch me at shows or just telling me not to give up when it's been really hard. A big thank you to my mom she has really been my rock but they have all kept me grounded and always reminded me to stay humble.

To end off I'd like to thank FutureNow for this incredible opportunity to be featured in their online magazine I'm extremely humbled and thankful for the opportunity.
